The art space Kunstraum NÖ is located within the courtyard of the historic Palais Niederösterreich where events like concerts or weddings are organized. The art space is offered the opportunity to use the yard for performances twice a year.
But security regulations are very strict and artistic activity is critically observed. This tense situation on site and the exhibition title “aura undercover” inspired the artist to smuggle her artwork into the yard undercover. Consequently, wooden panels were painted in the matching color of the courtyard walls (color: Elegance 032/6) and placed on them, so as to be barely visible. The undercover panels therefore influence the aura of the environment. Positive sabotage.
The wooden plates come from the trash of the laser workshop at ZHDK. Out of the cutout forms, we guess that artworks or cultural assets were produced. The leftovers therefore have their own (negative) aura.

Der Kunstraum NÖ teilt sich den Hof mit Veranstaltungen, die im denkmalgeschützten Palais Niederösterreich stattfinden. Zwei mal im Jahr dürfen hier seitens des Kunstraums Performances durchgeführt werden. Die Sicherheitsregelungen sind sehr strickt und künstlerische Aktivitäten werden kritisch begutachtet.
Diese angespannte Situation vor Ort und der Titel der Ausstellung „Aura Undercover“ bewogen die Künstlerin ihre Kunst undercover in den Hof einzuschmuggeln. Dafür wurde der Farbton der Wände im Innenhof ermittelt (Eleganz 032/6) und auf ausgeschnittene Holzplatten* aufgetragen. Platziert vor die Wänden, waren diese kaum zu erkennen.
So nahmen sie „undercover“ Einflussnahme auf die Aura der Umgebung.
Positive Sabotage.
*die Holzplatten stammen aus dem Abfall der Laser-Werkstatt der Zürcher Kunsthochschule. Es wird vermutet, dass aus den rausgeschnittenen Formen Kunst und Kulturgüter entstanden. Die verbliebenen Reste besitzen ihre eigene (negative?) Aura.
